ClearSkin

Laser therapy for acne

ClearSkin is an ALMA LASERS technology, a world leader in medical lasers, adapted to the Harmony platform.

What is the ClearSkin laser?

ClearSkin is an Er:Glass 1540 laser, used in aesthetic dermatology for several types of conditions: acne, post acne scars, vascular conditions, hyperpigmentation, ageing. Unlike other acne treatments (chemical peels, fractional CO₂ laser, microneedling), the patient can quickly return to daily activities because the skin is not affected and does not need a healing period.

Benefits of ClearSkin laser treatment

reduces hyperseborrhoea and closed and open comedones;
reduces pore size;
relieves inflammatory acne lesions;
stimulates healing and production of collagen and elastin.

How does ClearSkin laser treatment work?

This treatment combines the advantages of a non-ablative laser with vacuum technology and contact cooling, with two main actions in the treatment of active acne:

  • reduces the flora of type Propionibacterium acnes by altering the bacterial cell membrane;
  • reduces the activity of the sebaceous glands, which secrete sebum in smaller, more fluid quantities.

At the same time, micro-pulses of energy cause micro-injury to the collagen in the dermis, causing a healing reaction, with collagen and elastin synthesis, correcting post acne signs, pigmented and erythematous spots.

What conditions can be treated with the ClearSkin laser?

Frequently asked questions

How does the ClearSkin laser work?

The Clear Skin laser has two main actions in the treatment of active acne:

  • will reduce Propionibacterium acnes flora by altering the bacterial cell membrane
  • will reduce the activity of the sebaceous glands, which secrete sebum in smaller, more fluid quantities.

Clinically, these effects will translate into a reduction in hyperseborrhoea, closed and open comedones, pore size and inflammatory acne lesions.

At the same time, those micro-pulses of energy cause micro-injury to the collagen in the dermis, causing a healing reaction with collagen and elastin synthesis, correcting post acne scars, pigmented spots, erythematous spots, enlarged pores and generally creating smoother, more even, more aesthetic skin.

When is the ClearSkin laser used?

Clear Skin is a laser used in aesthetic dermatology for several types of conditions: acne, post acne scars, enlarged pores, vascular conditions, hyperpigmentation.

How many sessions are needed?

The protocol comprises a series of 4-6 sessions, spaced every 2 weeks and can be integrated into complex treatment protocols.

How does the skin look after the procedure?

Unlike other acne treatments (chemical peels, fractional CO2 laser, microneedling), the patient can return to daily activities because the skin has not been damaged and does not need a healing period.

When will I see the results?
